Your Anytime Movie

Not much beats an evening in with a good movie, particularly on cold stormy evenings like the ones we've had lately. The smell of homemade caramel popcorn, the dimmed lights, and comfortable clothes all convincing you that all of those productive things that you had to do can wait. This entry is about your Anytime Movie. That favorite movie that you seem to be in the mood for no matter what. This image is from Disturbia which happens to be my current go-to film whenever I'm looking to escape from work or similar evils. It has just the right mix of humor, suspense, and action to help you weather the storms outside or in your work week. Feel free to comment on what movie you reach for.

I would have to say that my anytime movie would have to be anything that is funny and lets me look at great design; fashion design, interior design, photographic design... any kind really. Right now I think I reach for Down With Love. I'm crazy about how they recreated that Rock Hudson/Doris Day era.

I love anytime movies... and you're right, they absolutely convince you that whatever it was that you thought you needed to accomplish really isn't that important and it can be put on the back burner. Come to that, I'm sure that is where it belongs, on the back burner. My current anytime movie? Stranger Than Fiction. I get lost in it. I find myself fantasizing about having my own little bakery that, of course, is the talk of the tow, and making delicious treats that everybody loves.

What? No Zombies? I'm shocked! Now, if the people that we're killed in that movie came back to life towards the end and had a vendetta against the character that killed them then that would add a twist to the movie that I was not expecting! (Except, now I would be expecting it.) I wonder if the movie studio would do a Disturbia II. I gotta go make a phone call.

No, it has been pointed out to me that I have a new anytime movie... and the winner is Music and Lyrics. I laugh every time at all the same parts.
